There is a "waterfall" at the end of a km long Boardwalk.

Nov 2017 • Solo. Bowmont park is quite large with many official and unofficial walking paths. You can match your level to a multitude of different paths. You can walk where there are paved parts or more remote spots with unofficial trails. You can walk by yourself OR where all the bikes and dog walkers go.

Bowmont Park is a 164 Ha natural area in Calgary's NW. It is bordered by Home Road, the Bow River, Nose Hill Drive and the community of Silver Springs. People have been walking up and down the slope between Silver Springs and the river for decades, and lots and lots of singletrack has been formed. There are good trails and not so good trail.

The trailhead parking lot is located at the end of 51 Avenue Northwest just of off the corner of Bearspaw Dam Road Northwest and 85 Street Northwest. The trail is a multi-use paved pathway.

Good to know: Bowmont Park has lots of off-leash areas for dogs to play at, including fenced and unfenced areas. The Park has a variety of landscapes from prairie grassland to riverine forest, and dramatic cliffs with interesting geological features. Trails aren't terribly well marked, and the park can be a bit difficult to navigate.
